Jess is shocked when she hears that Lou and Daniel are considering adopting her baby. She had already decided to have an abortion. Daniel and Lou reluctantly accept this, and Lou even offers to accompany Jess to her appointment. But it all becomes too much for Jess. She flees from Lou in a panic and causes a car accident. Valerie is, as expected, annoyed that Simon has moved into the Rose House with Olivia. Simon tries to appease her with a dinner at Carla’s new bistro. The evening goes unexpectedly well until Simon accidentally finds another guest’s engagement ring, and Valerie mistakenly assumes he’s about to propose to her.
