While Jack is working out on the farm, he finds a body lying amongst the hay and is shocked to discover it is his cellmate Harry. Harry stirs and Jack takes him indoors to warm up. Following a hot bath, Harry explains that he was released after serving his sentence while on remand, but his family isn't interested in him, so he thought he could count on Jack for a bed for the night. After acquainting himself with the kids, he tells Jack the real reason why he's there - to give Jack £3000 in used notes.
